Dimensions Measurement

Purpose:

Measure the Package’s dimensions and verify its configuration.

Procedures:

1. Verify the component’s package type and configuration according to the customer purchase order and the ordered P/N. Many electronic components are available in several different packages; therefore it is crucial to ensure the inspected package matches the ordered one.
2. Measure the various dimensions of the package and leads using a digital caliper. The measured values are documented and compared to the package outline in the datasheet.

The measured values must be within the permitted range, across all samples tested.

Equipment:

Digital Vernier Caliper

 Parts will be accepted if:

1. The package configuration matches the ordered one.
2. All measured values are within permitted range as specified in the datasheet.
